This week we are looking at stormy weather.
In Letters and Sounds we will be playing the “New Words to Old Songs” game.
This week we will be:
*Listening to stormy music.
*Reading “After the storm” Percy the Park Keeper and “Elmer and the Wind” by David McKee
*Designing and making kites.
*Going on a windy walk and use streamers and ribbon to find windy spots around the school grounds.
*Blowing bubbles in the outdoor area.
*Composing a stormy piece of music together.
*Making boats to float in the water tray.
This week the children will be helping to create the new weather display in the classroom. .
We will continue to go into our Key Worker groups at the end of the session for a story and rhymes/songs. Busy feet, Funky Fingers and write dance will continue.
Please remember to add to our planning board in the entrance hall J Please share with us your children’s interests and hobbies that we can incorporate into our planning.
Please make sure you name all of your child’s coats, clothing, lunch boxes and water bottles. We have lots still without names.
If you have any old belts or zips at home that you would like to donate to our Funky Finger table we would be very appreciative.
